Brisbane City Council will be undertaking investigation works in the area surrounding the Oxley Road and Oxley Station Road intersection in Oxley, from mid September 2017.

These works will involve topographic and environmental surveys, geotechnical investigations and testing, and the identification of public utility service locations.

These investigation works are to form design options for a potential future upgrade to this intersection.

Council plans to undertake these investigation works intermittently from mid September to December 2017, from Sunday to Thursday between 7pm and 5am.  These works will predominantly be undertaken at night to meet traffic permits, when traffic volumes are lowest to minimise disruptions and to ensure the safety of workers.  Where day woks are required, they will take place from Monday to Saturday, between 7am to 5pm.

Residents and businesses close to the intersection may see surveyors on site and some potholing may also be required.  Council will make every effort to minimise disruption during these investigations.

Further information will be provided to local residents and businesses as design development progresses.  The timing of construction for this proposed upgrade is dependent on future budget allocation.
